Temporary restoration
​
If the dental implant is in a directly visible area, a temporary restoration may be placed for esthetic purposes while the area heals. Otherwise, your crown will be installed in 2 months once the implant has been fully integrated.

Abutment & crown placement
​
When healing is complete, the abutment is placed to connect the dental implant to the porcelain crown. Once our ceramist fabricates the new porcelain crown to exact specifications, we fit the crown onto the abutment.

Will it hurt?
​
The surgery of implant placement is done under local anaesthetic, hence the patients do not experience any pain. Homecare instructions & recommendations will be shared.

Dr. Olivier Carcuac is a Board Certified Periodontist in UAE and Research Associate at the Department of Periodontology, Sahlgrenska University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Graduated (DDS) in 1998.
Dr Olivier received his certificate as specialist in Periodontics (MSc Clin Perio) in 2008 and the degree of Odont. Dr. (PhD) in 2015 from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Currently, he is a member of the editorial board of Clinical Oral Implants Research and serves as a referee in several other journals.

Dr. Olivier’s research includes peri-implant biologicalcomplic ations, their etiopathogenesis and treatment, in both pre-clinical and clinical settings. He also has a passion for aesthetic periodontal procedures as well as aesthetic implant dentistry.
